In geological terms, the time humans have been around is a tiny sliver in the earth’s history, so this “end” you speak of has no basis. It is the earth doing what it always has done to continue existance, not “end”. It’s just tragic that people get caught in the crossfire occasionally. Not quite how a Tsunami is created… the earthquake doesn’t “shake” the ocean until it spills onto land; in fact it lifts a giant area of seabed very quickly, creating a surge of energy in the water. This surge is only about 1 metre high, can be 200km wide, and travels up to 500kph. As this reaches shallower water, it slows, gets higher, and when it reaches land becomes the devastating tsunami. A pool being shaken is not even remotely the same principle.
