Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray has teamed up with Cablevision and King Kullen supermarkets to promote pool safety and help prevent accidental drownings. The group has commenced a media campaign and a brochure has been produced on the subject of swimming pool alarms and pool safety. “It seems as though every time I open a paper or turn on the news, I learn that another young child has tragically drowned,” commented Murray. “In response to these tragedies, we’re working hard to educate pool owners and parents of children who may swim in neighborhood pools.
